What is the Challenge?

The Pathfinders Fundraising Challenge is an opportunity for 8 GlobalGiving UK partners to raise much-needed funds for their projects and put into practice the fundraising and communications training they have been involved in for the previous 6 months.

What is GlobalGiving?

GlobalGiving is a global marketplace for philanthropy that helps donors support causes they are passionate about. Using its website, GlobalGiving.co.uk connects donors to more than 300 community based projects worldwide. The site hosts projects which range in topic from education and the environment to healthcare and human rights in more than 70 countries. Find out more about GlobalGiving.

How can I donate?

People can donate to a project online through the GlobalGiving.co.uk website.

Donors can donate to your project using a credit or debit card, or with their PayPal account.

If donors are struggling to donate with a credit or debit card, they may need to donate via paypal. A Paypal account is easy and simple to set up and makes transferring money online even more secure. To set up an account, your supporters can go here: www.paypal.co.uk and from there will be instructed to input their details and bank account information. PayPal is an internationally recognised payment platform and they make paying on line easy and secure. Once your supporters have set up an account (if they don't already have one) they can donate to your project directly through GlobalGiving.co.uk.

We regret that we cannot accept payment by cheque or cash for this Challenge.

Terms and Conditions

• Each project must raise funds from 20 donors between 10 September (starting 00:00 GMT) and 16 September (23:59 GMT) in order to compete for the challenge prizes.
• The project raising most funds will receive £500 bonus prize.
• Please note that GlobalGiving UK maintains the right to make a final decision on all matters concerning the adjudication of unique donors and final results of the challenge.
