1000 doctors free 3rd world from charity reliance
More Information About this ProjectProject Needs and BeneficiariesMany developing countries are stuck in a cycle of perpetual dependence on Western charity because local health workers lack the clinical skills and operational systems needed to care for their own patients. Global Medic Force addresses this by sending expert medical professionals to transfer their medical skills to colleagues in developing countries, thereby optimizing clinic operations. As a result, hundreds of thousands of patients receive quality care when none existed before. ActivitiesGlobal Medic Force recruits and prepares Western physicians and nurses for rapid skill transfer. They are stationed on a pro bono basis in clinics in developing countries for 6-12week periods.
