Lunch for Children in Free NGO Day-Care Center
More Information About this ProjectProject Needs and BeneficiariesDay care for 42 children, ages 4 months to 7 years old and for 18 teenagers. Their mothers were abandoned by husbands and are the only source of income for the family. They earn income by collecting paper and cans in the street. Most have 5 children, but nowhere to leave them while they try to make money. There are many needs, but our priorities are food and acquiring kitchen appliances. The day care depends on daily donations of food for the children. ActivitiesProviding meals, recreation, early childhood learning, drama, and play area with books; social, medical and psychological assistance; tutoring; I.T. skills; and sports for children who would otherwise be left unattended and risk becoming delinquent.
