Help 35 Families Become Self-Sufficient with Honey
More Information About this ProjectProject Needs and BeneficiariesBeekeeping is an important livelihood in Haiti. Honey is a natural sweetener that can also be used for treating illness. Cross pollination by bees makes honeybees an essential part of a healthy agricultural economy. After losing their hives in a hurricane, a beekeeping association in Southern Haiti wants help re-building their beekeeping activities. ActivitiesIf we provide 60 beehives, supplies and training for the 35 members of the beekeeping association in southern Haiti, they will be able to lift themselves out of poverty and once again provide a sustainable income for their families.
