More than Just Scholarships in Rural Ecuador
More Information About this ProjectProject Needs and BeneficiariesChildren from indigenous rural villages are being increasingly left behind by main stream schooling as their families cannot afford the materials or transport. This leaves them without the opportunities that every child deserves. As well as following the national curriculum, students will be taught practical vocational skills that will aid them to gain employment upon graduation. This solution provides a huge impact as it provides for many more than scholarships alone can. ActivitiesBy providing free schooling and vocational skills we can ensure these indigenous communities get the same opportunities as everyone else. With very small contributions from families and graduates, the school will then become sustainable.
