Sustainable Education and Training, Rural Honduras
More Information About this ProjectProject Needs and BeneficiariesChildren in remote rural areas in Honduras have little or no chance to attend secondary schools, which are only available in urban areas. By bringing secondary schools to the communities this problem is eradicated and the children receive further education. ActivitiesFurther education should not just be for those living in urban areas. This programme provides the same opportunities as everyone in rural areas. With very small contributions from families and graduates, the school will then become sustainable. Why this Project is ImportantPotential Long Term ImpactOver the years this school will teach thousands. Because it will be run and funded by local communities in the future, it will also foster strong communities and ensure the indigenous populations are not swallowed up by development and ruralisation. Project Message
Living in a rural area immediately nullifies the children's ability to go to secondary school in the towns, due to the large distances, denying them an education Who is Running This ProjectContact
