More Information About this ProjectProject Needs and BeneficiariesEndemic to third-world populations, malaria not only negatively impacts quality of life, but also devastates already suppressed economies. The people of Mali, who consistently rank among the five poorest countries in the world, are among those who suffer from malaria. This year’s Mosquito Netting Initiative is designed to concentrate administrative health efforts to dispensing mosquito netting to every family in 24 villages in the Ouelessebougou region. ActivitiesThe Alliance has a unique delivery mechanism because of the already established partnership we have with 24 villages. Upon delivery, a health agent is trained to teach the villagers how to properly use the mosquito nets. Funding InformationThis project has been retired and is no longer accepting donations.
