More Information About this ProjectProject Needs and BeneficiariesWe address homelessness and drug dependency in Dublin, Ireland providing football training, coaching, referee qualifications and support to come off drugs, alcohol, move into homes, education, repair relationships and improve their lives. ActivitiesWe run 3 football training sessions per week plus the opportunity to take coaching and referee courses. A national football championship involves 35 teams and 450 players with the chance to represent Ireland at the Homeless World Cup. ResourcesWhy this Project is ImportantPotential Long Term ImpactIn 2008 we plan to set up regular Street Leagues in two more cities in Ireland plus two all Ireland football tournaments to involve 1000 players per year in football coaching, training and support to come off drugs and alcohol, get jobs, homes.
