Learn to make candied fruits

By Jalu Wardhana - Project Leader, November 06, 2011 07:43 PM

Summary Micro-enterprises training activities for the fifty poor families who joined in the program have been performing well. Report of micro projects can be viewed directly on our web site at http://www.microaid.org/?q=content/project-report-learn-make-candied-fruits Training activity incorporated in the program "Family Enterprise Development for 50 poor women" is: Learn to make candied fruits Result & Benefit: Women in this small group learn how to make a snack of candied fruits that are widely available around their homes, such as papaya, mango and jackfruit. Candied is in addition to nutritional snacks for children and families. By eating the fruit that is processed naturally without preservatives, then the children and families get extra vitamins from these fruits. When they have this knowledge, women can make it at home and could be a new alternative to get additional money by sell to the neighbors around her house. Participant Comment: Sri Rahayu (Mrs.): It's great because I can make food that kids love Toto (Mrs.): At first I was hesitant for fear of trouble; but it was easy and tastes good Aweng (Mrs.): Children are happy because I can make candied by myself at home Sofyan (Mrs.): It could be a vitamin supplement for my family Toha (Mrs.): I will try to learn again with different fruits Thank you, MicroAid Projects Jalu Wardhana, General Manager
