Project Report

Family Enterprise Development for 50 poor women

Date of report: May 17, 2010

Summary

Micro-enterprises training activities for the fifty poor families who joined in the program have been going really well! (The more detailed report of these micro projects can be viewed directly on our web site: http://www.microaid.org/?q=results)

Training activities incorporated in the program "Family Enterprise Development for 50 poor women" include:

1. Food Processing Activities

2. Crafts

3. New Technology Tests

4. Testing for Sell The Product at Local Market

1) Food Processing Activities

A group of mothers have learned how to make crispy chicken legs. This food is very popular in villages and they have been able to make their own and try to be marketed to the nearest neighbourhood

2) Crafts

A group of mothers and young girls have tried to make a hand fan made of bamboo. They make their own fan's hands and have tried to market them through the bazaar.

3) New Technology Tests

A group of mothers have learned to make plastic flowers from plastic straws used. Plastic straw is processed into flowers as table decorations

4) Testing for Sell The Product at Local Market

These training activities will be implemented in the near future. If we already have enough samples, then we will be conducting training this marketing test in the local market.

Thank you,
