Mission

Ethiopiaid aims to create lasting and positive change in Ethiopia by tackling the problems of poverty, ill health and poor education. As a fundraising organisation, we donate directly to local community projects in Ethiopia. These partners already hold the answers, they simply need a helping hand to carry out their work from people like you.

Programs

We currently support 19 partner projects based in and around Addis Ababa, the Ethiopian capital. We are also providing famine relief to thousands of starving people in Southern Ethiopia. Our projects encompass three main areas - Health, Education and Poverty Reduction.There is a huge amount of variety in the projects we support in terms of their size, the work they do and the people they help.

Professor Alec Reed, CBE - Founder and Voluntary Chair of Trustees
Professor Alec Reed visited Ethiopia in the late 1980's and was incredibly moved by the suffering he saw there. Under the patronage of Reed Executive, Ethiopiaid was established to give everyone the opportunity to make a difference. Professor Alec Reed is still very much involved in Ethiopiaid's work. His energy and enthusiam drive success and inspire all that work with him.
