Mission

Our mission is to improve the urgently needed health service in the North of Haiti, and raise awareness of the situation. With the first steps of our new hospital close to completion, our objectives are to provide four basic medical services: General Medicine, Maternity and Paediatric Care, Obstetric-gynaecology, and General Surgery. This includes a vaccination programme for children and women of child bearing age and the provision of nutritional supplements for malnourished children.

Programs

In 2010 and 2011 we are focusing on some of Haiti's most pressing health needs, through the establishment of a maternity and paediatric program and surgical department. In partnership with The White Ribbon Alliance and thanks to the Naomi Campbell 2010 "Fashion For Relief", we are about to launch a major maternity initiative. We have established a team in Haiti in partnership with Konbit Sante - Cap-Haitilen Health Partnership - and medical professionals to plan and deliver this program.

Carwyn Hill - CEO, Founder and Project Manager
Carwyn co-founded the HHA after a trip where he saw Julia an 11 year old, who had died simply because the doctors didn't have the equipment to save her. Touched by seeing at first hand the desperate state and heart breaking situation of Haiti's poverty and injustice. Carwyn set about doing something about it, formed a team, registered the charity and fund raises constantly for the project.
