Mission

VSO is an international development charity that works through volunteers. Our vision is a world without poverty in which people work together to fulfil their potential. We bring people together to share skills, creativity and learning to build a fairer world.

Programs

Long term volunteering placements are at the core of our work, sending skilled professionals in medicine, education, business, human resources, sciences, agriculture, social development, engineering, tourism and leisure to share their skills and help partner organisations develop their ability to deliver sustainable development programmes. These are generally 2 year placements, and our volunteers are recruited from developed and developing countries.

Personnel Overview

Sarah Kyobe - Programme Manager-Health, VSO Uganda
Prior to her 7 years with VSO, Sarah was a District Manager for Save the Children (UK) managing an EU funded district health programme and supervising HIV and AIDS prevention programmes, a community development project and a DfiD funded construction and rehabilitation project. Before that she worked with Medicins Sans Frontieres for 6 years in Uganda, Liberia and Tanzania in refugee health.
