Providing Sanitation to prevent Disease
More Information About this ProjectProject Needs and BeneficiariesIn Addis Ababa's poorest slums there is no running water and no sewerage system meaning that waste is left to rot in the streets. Ethiopiaid's partner FIDO aims to improve the level of sanitation and hygiene in the slums which will reduce hygiene related diseases and improve the standards of living for the thousands of people who have no choice but to live there. ActivitiesThis project will build a communal toilet block with a shower in the slum to help improve sanitation and hygiene. This is one of a number of projects run by FIDO in this slum which together aim to improve living standards for the whole population.
