Mama Hope
Mission
Mama Hope is nonprofit that supports effective grassroots organizations in the developing world by communicating their achievements and needs to the American public and raising funds to assist their programs. Currently we have partnered with a Community Project in Kenya called Pepo La Tumaini Jangwani to advocate and raise funds for their projects. We work to serve the needs of the people as they communicate them to us, rather than through a bureaucracy.
Programs
Mama Hope focuses on basic needs. It has built a health clinic that servers a community of 120,000 people. It has started community-run domestic water projects in 3 villages bringing close to 15,000 people access to clean water. It also is creating a youth-led irrigation project to train orphans in drip irrigation methods suitable for desert farming. It allso sponsors a women's microfinance bank that is assisting women to start their own businesses.
