More Information About this ProjectProject Needs and BeneficiariesThe project helps to preserve the native honey bee, as well as traditional skills in beekeeping. It also offers career opportunities and the potential for sustainable livelihoods to the young in Tobago, where there is currently high unemployment and resulting poverty. ActivitiesBuilding of bee boxes, training and education of school children (training in hive construction, site selection, harvesting, honey & wax processing, packaging, marketing, business skills and value-added production).
