Mission

WINGS creates opportunities for Guatemalan families to improve their lives by providing them with family planning education and access to reproductive health services.

Programs

Family Planning: increase access to family planning information and services; Youth WINGS: raise awareness about sexual and reproductive health among adolescents; Political Advocacy: works with the government to implement laws passed to support family planning in Guatemala; WINGS for Men: educate men about reproductive health, family planning, gender equality, and responsible fatherhood; Cervical Cancer: provide cervical cancer screening and treatment

Personnel Overview

Emma Sunderland - Program Coordinator
Emma, who joined WINGS in December 2005, is a qualified nurse with a Masters in Public Health and Health Promotion. She previously worked for a UNDP Human Rights project in Guatemala.

Carmen Ordoñez - Nurse and Educator
Carmen joined WINGS in 2005 and has been working in our cervical cancer program ever since. She is a qualified nurse who has been trained in the VIA/Cryo technique.
