Hope & direction for children in Mumbai’s slums
More Information About this ProjectProject Needs and BeneficiariesChildren in Mumbai’s slum communities may have to work for their family’s survival -many can’t go to school. Some are abused, involved in gangs or drugs & have little hope of a different future. Magic Bus uses sport to demonstrate an alternative view of life: to teach that everyone is equal. Each week 660 7-9yr olds take part in sports sessions, where they develop essential skills and challenge themselves. Annually they take part in a camp to experience nature, play and enjoy their childhood. ActivitiesBy encouraging children to play in mixed religion, gender and community teams we break down barriers and develop their physical and mental capabilities. Children are taught to respect others, to communicate and focus and just enjoy being children. Funding InformationThis project has been retired and is no longer accepting donations.
