Mission
Magic Bus nurtures and cultivates protective factors in less privileged children through an experiential platform and a social and emotional learning curriculum, creating high impact with novelty (change of environment, outdoor/sports activities) with new role models (highly trained mentors, responsible community members) with positive recreation (engaging the children in active learning) and with opportunities to discover and build talent (sports, art, crafts)
Programs
Sports Excellence – Focus on building various sports teams comprising Magic Bus children who show above average caliber in the sport of their interest. Teams will be professionally trained and will represent Magic Bus in the tournaments held at national and international level
Personnel Overview
Priyanka Sharma - Head of Programme
Priyanka has been working with Magic Bus since 2003 and is currently Head of Programme. Her remit includes managing the entire city programme and its Monitoring and Evaluation process. She previously worked in Delhi as a Health Project officer with Butterflies: an NGO working with children living in streets.
Ajay Shetty - Senior Manager, Sports
Ajay was coach of the Maharashtra State Women football team. He is a registered player of the Mumbai District Football Association and has represented a number of teams, such as Khalsa College, Mahatma Education, Naval Civilians and Hindustan Petroleum. He has coached school and junior college teams and was selected for the Bombay District Football Association junior under 19 football camp.
