Mission

AFADU is dedicated to providing support and resources that build a future of hope for vulnerable children and young people in the African countries in which AFADU works. AFADU will work in partnership with children, young people, their communities and other stakeholders to support and meet the physical and psychological needs of vulnerable children and young people through creative, child-focussed, sustainable social development initiatives.

Personnel Overview

Ezelle Schimper - LCV founder and onsite AFADU program manager
Ezelle founded Lirhanzo's Children's Village and is a committee member of BSG. The Batsiranai Sewing Group was established by AFADU in 2005 in conjunction with management and older adult orphans at Lirhanzo’s Children Village (LCV). AFADU and LCV have been in partnership since 2004 with the BSG project being one of many LCV initiatives supported by AFADU.

Mrs Chimuka Tevedzerai - BSG - Principal Tutor
Mrs Chimuka Tevedzerai is 50 years old and is the local High School Principal. She is also the skills expert and training coordinator for BSG. She brings years of knowledge in education and training to BSG.

Margaret Mutero - BSG Communications manager
Margaret is a 32 year old woman with 2 children that works at Lirhanzo Children s Village, of which is AFADU's main beneficiary. Margaret is the supervisor of the orphans as well as the committee member of Batsiranai Sewing Group. She works at BSG and her Main responsibility is communications. She started the project with Patricia Pegorer from AFADU back in 2005.
