By 2015 Raleigh will be recognised as a global community of active citizens passionate about making a difference to their world.
Raleigh is committed to the personal growth and development of young people from all nationalities and backgrounds. Founded in 1984 Raleigh’s overseas and UK programmes are designed to help young people from all backgrounds develop skills and self-confidence in a fun and challenging environment beyond the classroom and workplace.
Programs
Raleigh works with young people from all walks of life, and nationalities volunteering on projects in Borneo, Costa Rica & Nicaragua and India. We develop challenging, extremely rewarding community and environmental projects in partnership with local communities. By working in such diverse teams to achieve these projects involving participants deeply with people, places, and communities, we provide a transformational journey, awakening a sense of life-purpose and self-belief.

Personnel Overview
Mark Ashby - Country Director, India
As the Country Director Mark is responsible for developing our external relationships, project planning funding and business development.
Previously Mark was the Country Programme Manager and focused on the delivery of the expedition programmes and the management of our volunteers. This ensures that our projects respond to locally defined needs and are delivered safely and to a high standard.
