Project Needs and Beneficiaries

This project helps families / individuals to develop sustainable livelihoods through the provision of VSLA facilitators to help reduce poverty within the communities who are caring for orphans & vulnerable children. By sponsoring 6 workers, 54 new VSLA groups will be set up in the Iganga district of Uganda. Each group has 30 people (usually women) who collectively save their money & loan out to the group. Average rates of return are 30-70%. Enable families to increase their livelihood income.

VSLA is the only hope for Uganda & Africa as a whole. VSLAs are self help groups, where even the weak financially can raise a small amount of money to save & use the savings to boost household incomes
