PUMP AID
MissionPump Aid tackles poverty by working with local communities in Zimbabwe and Malawi to establish sustainable supplies of clean water and sanitation. We do this because around 1 billion people do not have access to clean water. The long-term effects of Pump Aid's work will ensure improved health and increased agricultural production. Working with communities to achieve this is essential to Pump Aid; all elements of the programme are sourced, supported and sustained by the communities themselves. ProgramsWater and sanitation programme - we provide a sustainable solution to water provision - the Elephant pump. This simple technology can provide a community with access to clean drinking water and for agriculutral use. The same approach is taken with the sanitation solution - Elephant toilet. Both are built alongside the communities teaching them key maintenance skills. Funded Projects on GlobalGiving
