Mission
All of SPW Tanzania's work is based on the conviction that young people are simultaneously most affected by poverty-related issues and an essential (but too often overlooked) human resource in achieving the local, national and global commitments to reduce the impact of poverty in the developing world. SPW Tanzania’s overall strategic goal is to ensure that young people have a leadership role in addressing the most urgent issues facing their lives and that of their communities and nation, support
Programs
SPW TZ's programmes are all developed, assessed and continually refined based on broad consultation with tens of thousands of rural youth, key adults within their communities, partner NGOs and government ministry partners.
SPW TZ conducts its own rigorous internal evaluation, and has also been externally evaluated several times in the past few years, including the World Bank who have cited SPW TZ as a model of best practice in the Sourcebook of Schools-based HIV/AIDS Prevention Programmes.
