Education for war affected children in Uganda
More Information About this ProjectProject Needs and BeneficiariesNorthern Uganda suffered from a 20 year long civil war which ended three years ago. Thousands of people were displaced and thousands of children were forcibly taken to become slaves or child soldiers. Thousands of other children lost one or both of their parents due to the war or HIV/AIDS. Education infrastructure collapsed and is now in dire need of replacement. ActivitiesThe project will construct one block of two classrooms which will accomodate the neesd of 120 primary age school children. The project will also use local artisans to fabricate 40 bench/seats for the children Funding InformationThis project has been retired and is no longer accepting donations.
