Young people reading the Marembo Journal

Young people reading the Marembo Journal.

Centre Marembo

'Marembo' means 'open gates' in Kinyarwanda. The services at Marembo are free to all young people.

World AIDS Day

Young people at Marembo made banners and walked to the national stadium to join events in the city for World AIDS Day.

Gakuru

Gakuru joined Centre Marembo as a resident in 2005. He was formerly living on the streets but now lives with the 31 other residents close to Centre Marembo and attends school.

Banner

This banner was created by the young people at the centre. The slogan on it quotes the First Lady of Rwanda who stated that people in Rwanda should aim to 'treat each child as their own'.
