Latest Update from the Field

Marketing of Prcessed Parboiled Rice

By Bruno Gerstendorfer - Project Leader, June 28, 2010 01:49 PM

Processed Parboiled RiceSealing of 1 kilogramme Parboiled Rice1 kilogramme IGBEAGU PARBOILED RICE

The next step of the Project is to find suitable ways to create customers interest for the product of distoned cleaned Parboiled Rice. The processed Parboiled Rice is packed in sealed plastic bags for 1 kilogramme, in bags for 10, 20, and 50 kilogramme. It is necessary to create a new market to correspond to the needs and wants of customers. In the local market there is only Parboiled Rice available which isn't distoned and cleaned. If somebopdy wants Rice of a better quality he can get imported Rice for a higher price. The Nigerian Government is against the importation of rice. The production and processing of Nigerian Rice is encouraged. Therefore the project: "Rice processing creates jobs for 10 people - Nigeria - #2996" is presently very actual.
