Mission

The Entwicklungshilfeverein IZZI is an autonomous, non profit, voluntary nongovernmental organization with the goal to promote rural development, to diminuish migration in Igbeagu-Izzi, Izzi L.G.A., Ebonyi State, Nigeria by improving the standard of living.

Programs

Improvement programs focus on: 1. Primary Health Care, 2. Supply of save drinking water using ceramic filters to clean and disinfect the raw water, 3. To increase the productivity of agriculture: Introduction of "Alley Farming" and multiplcation of improved seeds and planting materials, 4. Domestic Center: training of girls and women, 5. Improved Housing, 6. Creation of small enterprises for possibilities of income.

Personnel Overview

Bruno Gerstendorfer - Magister
Retired teacher for educaion of fine arts, design, history of arts, handicraft for boys, world history in high schools. Since 1986 I am working as a development worker in the Rural Development Project IZZI.

John Ndugo - Chief
Chief John Ndugo is the second son of a Village Chief in Igbeagu-Izzi. He was one of the first young persons in the Village Development Project IZZI. Now he is General Manager in the Project IZZI. He has also worked very much for the community of Igbeagu-Izzi.
