Displaced Residents in Chile Learn IT Skills
More Information About this ProjectProject Needs and BeneficiariesCDI-Chile is aiding in the recovery of Chaitan community, some of whom are now living in Quellón, Chile. More than 5,000 individuals were relocated when their town was destroyed by a volcano and now they are suffering from the loss of their community and livelihoods. CDI will offer civic and IT education at a special CDI education center in Quellón, where these displaced residents can recover their sense of community and mobilize themselves through newly acquired technology and computer skills ActivitiesA specialized educational program at a CDI center in Quellón will help participants reconnect virtually with their community to share stories and support, as well as organize together and facilitate effective communication using the internet. Funding InformationTotal Funding Received to Date: £68 Funding InformationThis project is now in implementation and no longer available for funding. Received funds will be used to accomplish concrete objectives as indicated in the project's "Activities" section. Updates will be posted under the "Progress Report" tab as they become available.
