Give clean water to communities in Zimbabwe
More Information About this ProjectProject Needs and BeneficiariesZimbabwe is facing humanitarian crisis with the collapse of the health system coupled with inadequate water and sanitation provision has lead to the increase in widespread diseases such as cholera. The recent outbreak has claimed the lives of over 4,000 people to date. In particular, this project will benefit women and girls, as the burden of having no access to water, falls most heavily on women. ActivitiesBuild 5 Elephant Pumps in Masvingo Province. The community is involved at every stage. Pump Maintenance Session trains communities to become Pump minders and Pump Mechanics – enabling them to ensure that the pumps are always fully operational. Funding InformationTotal Funding Received to Date: £1,084 Funding InformationThis project is now in implementation and no longer available for funding. Received funds will be used to accomplish concrete objectives as indicated in the project's "Activities" section. Updates will be posted under the "Progress Report" tab as they become available.
