Mission

The Entwicklungshilfeverein IZZI is an autonomous, non profit, voluntary nongovernmental organization with the goal to promote rural development, to diminuish migration in Igbeagu-Izzi, Izzi L.G.A., Ebonyi State, Nigeria by improving the standard of living.

Programs

Improvement programs focus on: 1. Primary Health Care, 2. Supply of save drinking water using ceramic filters to clean and disinfect the raw water, 3. To increase the productivity of agriculture: Introduction of "Alley Farming" and multiplcation of improved seeds and planting materials, 4. Domestic Center: training of girls and women, 5. Improved Housing, 6. Creation of small enterprises for possibilities of income.

I am a retired teacher for education of fine arts, history of arts, handicraft and history for teaching in secondary schools in Austria. Since 1986 I am working as a development worker in the "Village Development Project IZZI" in Igbeagu-Izzi, Izzi-L.G.A., Ebonyi State, Nigeria.
