TransConflict UK
Mission
TransConflict was established in response to the challenges facing intra- and inter-ethnic relations in the Western Balkans. It is TransConflict's assertion that the successful transformation of conflict requires a multi-dimensional approach that engages with and aims at transforming the very interests, relationships, discourses and structures that underpin and fuel outbreaks of low- and high-intensity violence.

Personnel Overview
Ian Bancroft - Executive Director
Ian Bancroft regularly publishes analysis of conflict transformation efforts in the Western Balkans for a variety of media outlets and think tanks, including The Guardian. Before co-founding TransConflict, Ian was a consultant to the OSCE Mission to Bosnia-Herzegovina, specialising in good governance reform and civil society development. Ian completed his post-graduate studies at the LSE.
