Empowering the Community of Nyalebbe - DRC
More Information About this ProjectProject Needs and Beneficiaries97% of our people are engaged in rural subsistence farming but this yields very low production. So we have food insecurity and malnutrition among children, breast feeding and pregnant mothers. The Goat Bank Project targets one community - in Sabu parish. It will be a 'bank' because we will lend a goat to a trained person, requiring that person to repay with a goat. To work, this must be well organized and managed, also with good veterinary support. “We need your help” ActivitiesThe community will be organized in groups; each group will receive trainings before the distribution of does. The person who receives the doe in the group will cross breed it with the imported breed and passes on the first female kid another member.
