Mission
ASAP's mission is to cultivate self-reliance in Africa by empowering the disadvantaged to pursue fundamental and sustainable improvements in their own lives.
Programs
Rural Micro-finance - Village Savings and Lending and Community Enterprise Development.
Agriculture skills training including conservation agriculture Jatropha & Moringa Tree Planting and appropriate technologies to improve agriculture production such as treadle pumps and drip irrigation kits.
Improvement of Education including Bridge the Gap Math teacher training.

Katy Harrison - BeeHive School Co-Project Leader
Katy Harrison has a degree in Computer Science and works in Redwood City, CA at DreamWorks Animation. Katy has worked on shows like Shrek The Third, Madagascar 2, and Monsters vs Aliens. In her free time, Katy enjoys scuba diving in Monterey, skiing, traveling and drawing. Katy feels that BeeHive is a very, very special place and encourages those who can to visit and see for themselves.
Niall Dorey - BeeHive School Founder and Director
Niall is very passionate about young children learning and hates to see wasted time and potential, especially in childhood. The commitment he has made to improving the standard of education in Malawi is combined with respect for, understanding of, and valuing the African culture and way of life. His effort and tenacity has produced excellent results in the face of many and varied obstacles.
Spencer Ahrens - BeeHive School Co-Project Leader
Spencer Ahrens has a BS in Mechanical Engineering and and MS in Mechanical Engineering from MIT; . He is interested in everything and anything related to engineering, however, he also has a soft spot for renewable energy technology. Spencer enjoys biking, climbing, reading about crazy new research on the web, and 'chilling' with family and friends.
