A report from ROKPA UK for Kanze Girls School
By Victoria Long - Coordinator for ROKPA in the UK, June 25, 2010 11:32 AM
Dear Friends
We are really pleased to be able to let you know that with all the funds raised by you, as well as funds raised through other branches of ROKPA in Europe, we have managed to reach the target amount of £9,449 needed for this project this year!! Thank you all so much for your contributions. We are so happy that we can be sure that all these 91 girls are secure in their education for another year.
Now we are placing a new project onto this site: Primary education for Tibetan orphans. ROKPA supports over 1000 orphans and children from destitute nomadic and farming families, through primary schools in Tibetan areas of China, different groups or sometimes whole classes in different schools. We have committed to funding these chldren for another year and we hope to be able to help them into the next stage of their education as well. Come and see this project on the Globalgiving site and help us keep these children in school. Their future is in our hands.
Best wishes,
Victoria Long
