Project Needs and Beneficiaries

In Georgia, aged people belong to the least protected part of society, most of singletons live in poverty and are under the risk of isolation. There’re frequent contraventions of aged people’s rights, also their discriminations. The project beneficiaries are singleton, socially unprotected older women who live in Kobuleti (Adjara,Georgia). The project will promote improving their life level and protect their rights.

Activities

Provide domestic and humanitarian aids to helpless older women, works hot line. During the project they would take psychological, juridical and medical aids. There will be organized meetings, discourses and charitable evenings.

Potential Long Term Impact

Centre activity will promote valuable and deserving life for 50 elderly women. It will fight against the discrimination of aged people and it will focus on specificities and ensure they make effective recommendations and guidance to States Parties.
