Sustainable Education in Rural Nicaragua
More Information About this ProjectProject Needs and BeneficiariesChildren in rural Nicaraguan communities face many obstacles in accessing a consistent and beneficial education restricting community development. In two communities, La Thompson and Chiriza, outside of Esteli in Northern Nicaragua we have established schools for children without access to formal education including formally recognised kindergarten classes. Through these schools children who would otherwise be neglected will receive a fair opportunity to learn and develop. ActivitiesIn addition to consistent educational support from our project team we will also improve school buildings providing protection from extreme weather, provide basic needs baskets to families and financial assistance for students in secondary education Funding InformationTotal Funding Received to Date: £9,445 ResourcesWhy this Project is ImportantPotential Long Term ImpactWorking alongside local teachers coupled with the projects core ideals we can all be educated in community development and sustainability.
