Stopping police violence report January 2011
By Leonora Borg - Fundraising and Partnerships Manager, February 02, 2011 01:00 PM
A bid has been put into UNICEF Ethiopia to add their support to phase two of the project so that the training can reach the 36,000 police officers in Ethiopia. The aim of phase two is to work with the police officers who were trained in phase one and highlight them as street child champions who take on the role of training and supporting their peers.
We will be using the International Day of the Street Child to work more closely with UNICEF and encourage more police training. These measures will enable CSC to improve child protection measures in Ethiopia, which is the first step to reintegrating street children into mainstream society.
