Promoting Literacy at The SEED School
More Information About this ProjectProject Needs and BeneficiariesStudents, faculty and parents will benefit from students' improved literacy skills and the confidence they gain from growth. The SEED School needs leveled fiction and non-fiction texts that students can read for independent reading and that support curricular needs in the classroom. SEED also needs to provide training to teachers to ensure consistent literacy instruction throughout all subjects. ActivitiesDevelop a library collection of leveled fiction and non-fiction texts that reflect students' literacy skills upon entering SEED as well as their anticipated growth. Funding InformationThis project has been retired and is no longer accepting donations. ResourcesWhy this Project is ImportantPotential Long Term ImpactStudents will attain the grade-level literacy skills they need to not only succeed in their middle school courses, but also to meet the demands of SEED's college preparatory high school, and ultimately, succeed in and graduate from college.
