Provide Education to AIDS Orphans in Rural Uganda Photo Gallery

Graduates 2009/2010

26 students graduated in December 2009 and ALL of our students passed their Primary Level Exams. Right now all of them are in Secondary School thanks to your generous support.

Our Staff on the Ground

We're growing! We have a new Country Manager. We have added on three new staff at Kutamba, and we have a full-time staff member in the US. We are working on streamlining our processes to deliver services better, report on progress more quickly and effectively, and be the best at what we do.

The "Mukaakas" (Grandmothers)

The Grandmothers are the true heroes of the AIDS pandemic in Africa. They take care of their orphaned grandchildren despite old age and incredible poverty. Our project provides support to these heroic ladies and are the key component of our community program as they care for the orphans.

The Blue Lupin Library

We have finished construction on the Blue Lupin Community Library. We are opening the doors April 26th 2010! Fill these rooms with children's and adult books to grow the minds of our kids and our communities.

Staff Development Workshop Winter 2010

We realize that all of our staff need continual training so that our kids and communities get the kind of services and ethical treatment they deserve. This workshop focussed on working with the disadvantaged, vulnerable child and mother.

In the Spring of 2009 Project H Design came to Kutamba school to build a Math Playground. They design playground that teachers can use to teach complicated mathmatical concepts to students. Follow this link to see how they made it http://tiny.cc/ogTl2

Students learning computer skills in new lab

The new computer lab in the Blue Lupin Library will benefit the whole community. It's already bringing out kids up to speed on their computer skills.

Kutamba Girls eat breakfast in the classroom

We provide free lunch, tea, and breakfast for all of our students and staff. Their health has improved remarkably as a result.
