The Butterfly Tree, an all-volunteer organization, educates children orphaned by the HIV/AIDS pandemic in Zambia. Your donations make this possible.
Every child has the right to an education, but without uniforms, shoes, books, and school exam fees, needy and orphaned children are unable to attend school. This is a particularly pressing issue in Zambia, where over 710,000 children have lost their parents to AIDS/HIV. In Mukuni Village alone, there are more than 450 needy children. Without access to education, these children have little hope for a better future.
Education is the long-term solution to breaking the cycle of poverty that is a harsh reality in Zambia, and donations to The Butterfly Tree are the short-term means of providing that education. There is no limit to the change we can affect.
By supporting the education of Zambia's orphaned and needy children, The Butterfly Tree will help pave the way for a brighter future for these children and for Zambia. The educational and social benefits of education will empower them for generations
Every child has the right to an education and even the smallest donation can make a huge difference to a rural Zambian child. You can make a difference one child at a time.
