Curious macaque
We set up camera traps in the restoration site to monitor wildlife returning to the area - this curious macaque took an interest!
Local support
The key to the success of this project is the involvement and commitment of the local people, who help us plant thousands of tree seedlings, and become guardians of the forests. (Photo by Layton Thompson)
Seedlings
Seedlings are grown and cared for in the tree nursery before being planted.
Sumatran elephant
Photos captured by our camera traps show that wildlife is starting to return to the area we are restoring back to its former forested glory. Orangutans share these forests with thousands of other species, including Sumatran elephants.
