The aim of our work is to help our beneficiaries live independent and fulfilling lives. This involves age appropriate education and skills training that lead students from school through to vocational training and employment.

We aim to conduct 1200 cataract operations in rural India saving many from unnecessary blindness. With the help of a panel of surgeons we plan to conduct 100 cataract operations per month in field eye camps. In 2005 Deepalaya launched a community health programme based in Gusbethi holding mobile health clinic camps twice a week in the villages of Tavru, Sohna and Nuh where the poor have no access to regular health care. The work highlighted the urgent need for cataract treatment in the region.
Help send 570 orphan children to school in India

This project provides study materials to 570 orphan children in the least developed Tribal and dalit areas of Gajapati, Ganjam and Kandhamal Districts of Orissa state. The area is underdeveloped and on hilly terrain, there are no communication facilities and the people are living in povertywith high rates of illiteracy. This project will support disadvantaged orphan children to go to school, promote a healthy life style and a secure future for these children.
