The Empowerment Academy for victims in Uganda

This project will enable victims of war, violence and school drop out to get skilfully empowered and fend for themselves. By training them in the empowerment academy (TEA), they gain practical skills to earn a living as they provide services.The Academy will make job placements for trainees in nursery schools and salons. Victims can never be redundant, helpless and vulnerable after going through this academy.
Work skills for 100 victims of injustice in Uganda

This project restores and empowers victims of injustices such as war, school dropout, forced marriage, rape/defilement and domestic violence. We provide them with free training in professions such as hairdressing, horticulture and nursery school education so that they can create their own income and lead free economically independent lives. Once they can earn their own income, they contribute to training others so that we can sustain this empowerment for hundreds more.

Community Shelters Uganda are building houses for 50 families who are currently homeless or in inadequate and unsafe housing and providing pit-latrines, bathrooms and water tanks for harvesting clean water. These houses will be built for targeted vulnerable people, such as the elderly, HIV/AIDS affected and infected mothers and children.
