‘GlobalGiving 2.0’ – the opportunity to use GlobalGiving’s technology and operating model to ‘reinvent’ overseas aid, one person at a time’

Specifically, they see an exciting opportunity for GlobalGiving.co.uk to:

• Directly impact a million lives in the developing world, through the funds raised through the UK website
• ‘Incubate’ and ‘seed-fund’ a new generation of innovative grassroots NGOs leading change in their local communities, who can subsequently be scaled to tackle global social problems
• Create the world’s first ‘virtual’ NGO, using mechanisms of feedback, learning and ‘crowd-sourcing’, to deliver all the quality benefits of a traditional NGO, but with broader reach and at a third of the cost
• Inspire a new generation of donors to engage in issues of development and philanthropy, and enable them to communities in the South
• Develop cutting-edge ways for companies (of all sizes) to support overseas development and positive change
