Help us to train inclusive teachers who give children with Down syndrome and intellectual disabilities the opportunity to learn what they need to succeed in our community.
School is more than reading and math, it's the place to learn and share who you really are. Around 13% of children with disabilities are included at official schools but only 3% of them reach their degree because teachers feel they don't have the tools to explore their potential, so every year more and more kids drop out.
Students with disabilities need skilled teachers that allow them to optimize their learning process. This objective will be accomplished by training workshop an specialized lectures for teachers which will contribute to the inclusion process and it will allows the reduction of school drop out rate.
Teacher quality is the most important factor for student achievement and investing in teacher training will help more children with disabilities have greater opportunities for inclusive education breaking the exclusion cycle they have been faced through years.
